Put new crossovers and tweeter and they sound fantastic. Never wanted to get rid of these speakers because they have rocked for over 40 years, glad I found Crites
These have worked out great, the higher Ohm reading definitely helps knock down and smooth out the mid-range. It's best when i want to crank up my KLF30'S and is less fatiguing at the higher volumes.
Fit perfectly. I was getting a real muffled sound prior to the replacement, very soft. I tried replacing the crossover with a different one didn’t fix it. I replaced the diaphragm with this one and the sound came back. I do think it needs a little break in period. At first it wasn’t as bright as my other speaker without the change, some may prefer this. But seems after running for a while it has more or less fallen into place. Great to have good parts of these old speakers. Before getting back into stereo sound, I was going to just give these KLF 20s away they were just sitting in my garage. After hooking them up and finding that there is a support community for them, Glad I didn’t. Thanks!!!
My Forte’s were suffering, finally tracked it to the midrange. This replacement midrange from Crites fixed it perfectly. Great job.
